الفَجۡرِ
Al-Fajr · Juz 30 · Page 594
Hamzat wasl

٢٤
يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِى٢٤
He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life."
٢٥
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٢٥
So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment,
٢٦
وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٢٦
And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].
٢٧
يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفْسُ ٱلْمُطْمَئِنَّةُ٢٧
[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul,
٢٨
ٱرْجِعِىٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةً مَّرْضِيَّةً٢٨
Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him],
٢٩
فَٱدْخُلِى فِى عِبَـٰدِى٢٩
And enter among My [righteous] servants
٣٠
وَٱدْخُلِى جَنَّتِى٣٠
And enter My Paradise."
◆
البَلَدِ
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
◆
١
لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ١
I swear by this city, Makkah -
٢
وَأَنتَ حِلُّۢ بِهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ٢
And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -
٣
وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ٣
And [by] the father and that which was born [of him],
٤
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ٤
We have certainly created man into hardship.
٥
أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ٥
Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?
٦
يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالاً لُّبَدًا٦
He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."
٧
أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ٧
Does he think that no one has seen him?
٨
أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ٨
Have We not made for him two eyes?
٩
وَلِسَانًا وَشَفَتَيْنِ٩
And a tongue and two lips?
١٠
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ١٠
And have shown him the two ways?
١١
فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ١١
But he has not broken through the difficult pass.
١٢
وَمَآ أَدْرَٮٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ١٢
And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?
١٣
فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ١٣
It is the freeing of a slave
١٤
أَوْ إِطْعَـٰمٌ فِى يَوْمٍ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍ١٤
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger
١٥
يَتِيمًا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ١٥
An orphan of near relationship
١٦
أَوْ مِسْكِينًا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍ١٦
Or a needy person in misery
١٧
ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ وَتَوَاصَوْاْ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْاْ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ١٧
And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.
١٨
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ١٨
Those are the companions of the right.
١٩
وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔـايَـٰتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْمَشْــَٔمَةِ١٩
But they who disbelieved in Our signs - those are the companions of the left.
٢٠
عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌ مُّؤْصَدَةُۢ٢٠
Over them will be fire closed in.
