النَّجۡمِ An-Najm · Juz 27 · Page 528

Hamzat wasl Madd (normal) Madd (obligatory) Madd (permissible) Qalqalah Ghunnah Idghaam Silent letter

٤٥

وَأَنَّهُۥ خَلَقَ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰ٤٥

And that He creates the two mates - the male and female -

٤٦

مِن نُّطْفَةٍ إِذَا تُمْنَىٰ٤٦

From a sperm-drop when it is emitted

٤٧

وَأَنَّ عَلَيْهِ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ٤٧

And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation

٤٨

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ أَغْنَىٰ وَأَقْنَىٰ٤٨

And that it is He who enriches and suffices

٤٩

وَأَنَّهُۥ هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلشِّعْرَىٰ٤٩

And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius

٥٠

وَأَنَّهُۥٓ أَهْلَكَ عَادًا ٱلْأُولَىٰ٥٠

And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad

٥١

وَثَمُودَاْ فَمَآ أَبْقَىٰ٥١

And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] -

٥٢

وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِّن قَبْلُ‌ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ٥٢

And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing.

٥٣

وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَةَ أَهْوَىٰ٥٣

And the overturned towns He hurled down

٥٤

فَغَشَّـٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ٥٤

And covered them by that which He covered.

٥٥

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكَ تَتَمَارَىٰ٥٥

Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt?

٥٦

هَـٰذَا نَذِيرٌ مِّنَ ٱلنُّذُرِ ٱلْأُولَىٰٓ٥٦

This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners.

٥٧

أَزِفَتِ ٱلْأَزِفَةُ٥٧

The Approaching Day has approached.

٥٨

لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ كَاشِفَةٌ٥٨

Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover.

٥٩

أَفَمِنْ هَـٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ تَعْجَبُونَ٥٩

Then at this statement do you wonder?

٦٠

وَتَضْحَكُونَ وَلَا تَبْكُونَ٦٠

And you laugh and do not weep

٦١

وَأَنتُمْ سَـٰمِدُونَ٦١

While you are proudly sporting?

٦٢

فَٱسْجُدُواْ لِلَّهِ وَٱعْبُدُواْ ۩٦٢

So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him].

القَمَرِ

54. Al-Qamar · Meccan · 55 ayahs

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

◆

ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ١

The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].

وَإِن يَرَوْاْ ءَايَةً يُعْرِضُواْ وَيَقُولُواْ سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌّ٢

And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

وَكَذَّبُواْ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓاْ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ‌ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍ مُّسْتَقِرٌّ٣

And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement.

وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ٤

And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -

حِكْمَةُۢ بَـٰلِغَةٌ‌ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ٥

Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them].

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ‌ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍ نُّكُرٍ٦

So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,
